Watching television news has become heartbreaking. I’m grateful to all the brave journalists and camera crews bringing the truth to our front rooms. We have to see it, we can’t escape it and shouldn’t, because the reality is being faced daily by ordinary Ukrainians like you and me.

We have a common humanity and we identify with them, doing what we can to help. The other heartbreaking aspect is not being able to comprehend how Putin, his Russian troops, and his pathetic apologists, can wilfully destroy a country and indiscriminately slaughter its men, women, and children.
